Alright, take a book that you enjoy, perhaps some comic strip books like “Garfield” or a book about fashion and makeup. Now, add to that a stereo full of music that soothes you, plug it into an outlet in your bathroom far away from the bathtub. Add some lavender scented bath oil (or bubble bath) and scrubbing salts (epsom salts, available at the local dollar store work really well) and warm up a bath for you. Stay for a while, take a long bath and read that book. You’ll feel really refreshed and you’ll look absolutely fabulous.

Find evening hours you both to go for a clear air power walk. Walk together in quiet streets and do breethings… so you can both understand each others emotions.

Other options:
find swimming pools to go and relax and do jakouzi
Go for a walk on your own with a classical music head phones to cheer you up with relaxation

Read a book, a book that will make your mind off
if not all that, drink plenty of water, cut down alcohol, and cheese. Eat healthy, or have a good chocolate and think about your life and plan things in advanced before you have a shock with changes and stresses even deeper

I know how you feel. My husband is going to be deployed again for a year for the second time.
Work out a lot, hang out with your friends, should have a best friend helps a lot. Take courses such as cooking, typing and volunteer which really helps because you are helping others and not focusing on your own problems etc… to take your mind off of the situation.

Exercise is a great way of getting rid of stress. I suggest going for a run, doing yoga, or aerobics. Try doing some of your favorite activities like watching a movie, reading, etc.
You could also try writing a letter to someone and express all of your feelings in the letter, and then when you’re done rip up the letter into little pieces. This helps getting rid of some of the feelings inside you.

Take it day by day, don’t try to do more than you can handle.
Try to get a meditation CD - or just sit quietly for a few minutes daily and try to quiet your mind. In the beginning is hard as everyday thoughts keep intruding ( the conscious mind) - but with time you will get to empty your mind of worries and just be still.
