wake up early

im going to a camp and i have to wake up at 8 every day…that might not seem bad, but i am NOT an early bird. i sleep in until 12 almost every day! ive tried waking up at 8 for the past 2 days, but im tiered during the day! what can i do to not get tiered…NATURALLY?

Just keep at it - your body will eventually adjust. You will also need to go to bed earlier to compensate for getting up earlier.

go to bed earlier. and the longer you sleep the more tired youre body is during the day. so sleep 8-10 hrs no more b/c if you do youre body will be used to sleeping and it wont want to work. therefor youre tired all day.

sleep earlier. you need to get at least 7 to 8 hours of snooze time. take away the distractions at bedtime (e.g. bright lights, tv, etc.). coffee in the morning sounds good, too. not a coffee lover? eat an apple. it’s scientifically proven to perk you up in the morning.

sleep a little earlier than your usual. have a complete sleep so you will not feel sleepy during the day. go to bed around 7 or 8 in the evening, perhaps, 9 in the evening the most. and if you have to get up at 8am, you’ll have 11 hours of sleep. it’ll be enough to see you through the day and by the time you’re done with the activities, you’d be too wired to sleep so late…so again, go to bed before nine pm. good luck and sweet dreams

I wake up everyday at 4:30am for work. It sux and I have been doing it for 4 years. I am still not used to it and I still get tired.
But to get yourself more “trained” each day change your wake up time closer and closer to 8am. Dont just try doing it all at once. One day wake up at 11, then 1030, then 10 and so on. You will be fine.

I have never been an early bird. It doesn’t matter how early I get to bed I don’t want to wake up. The worst part of waking up is getting out of bed but once you get moving you’ll start to pep up. If you’re doing something and not just lying on the couch you’ll find that you won’t be tired as much during the day!
