Getting Started Blogging - Day 5

Organic traffic started rolling today. That’s good news. Soon, I won’t have to rely on social media websites like Digg or Reddit to drive traffic here. It will come naturally from Google, Yahoo and other search engines.

I was out most of the day, and working on that webdesign project I started yesterday most of the time I was home, so I didn’t get a lot of time for X-Day Challenge. I still got to publish another article: How To Quit Smoking. And wrapped up the week with a list of recommended readings.

Yesterday’s figure about RSS Subscribers was probably off because it was when I submitted my RSS to directories. Feedburner probably treated the directories parsing my feed as readers. This explains today’s drop in subscribers and hence, in overall readership. Unique visitors is still up. Which is good consider the lack of marketing I did today.
