About
Hello, my name is Nadim. I’m a 24-year-young dude from Montreal, Canada. I graduated from a Computer Engineering degree in December 2005. Looking from outside could seem like I pretty much wasted my time until now (January 2008). But I learned a lot. Starting my own business fresh out of school required me to do a lot of reading on various topics. But reading is not enough. Most people learn best from experience. Just think about when your mom told you “Johnny, stop doing wheelies on your BMX! You’re gonna hurt yourself!” And didn’t believe her until you did.
I wish someone would have told me to stop reading so much and go out there and do something, even though I would have probably not believe them. I wish it didn’t take me 2 years to realize that action brings results so much faster that thougths and plans. That even if you fail the first time you try, you still have time to try something different. So that is the reason why I’m starting this website. I want to give something to those who need it. A little push. That little push that will get them in the right direction and get the ball rolling.
A challenge is often the fastest and easiest way to get someone into action. And it’s also the easiest way for someone to give all their energy and focus for this purpose. The best way to understand why is to see a challenge as a question. It can be a question like “Am I able to do this?” or like “Am I better at this than that guy facing me?” Compare this to an affirmation like “I am able to do this” or “I am better than this guy.” Which one do you think will bring more results? The sole purpose of a question is to bring an answer. When asking yourself a question you have to answer it. Your brain won’t be happy with questions not answered. And your brain won’t be happy either with a negative answer (who wants to be a loser?). So it will push you to do what is necessary to bring a positive answer. Just think about how much more powerful a question is compared to an affirmation and you’ll understand the power of challenges.
The purpose of this site is to get people together and achieve great things. Things we couldn’t achieve alone, each in our own little bubble, never asking ourselves questions.
I’ll be running challenges that run for X number of days. The challenges will be anything from loosing (or gaining) weight, or waking up early, to making money or picking up chicks (or dudes). The way this will work is I’ll be taking challenge proposals from you. The most popular ideas will go through a vote for around a week. The most voted-for idea will be the upcoming challenge. During the following week I’ll setup the rules and goals and determine a reasonable number of days to reach the goals. And then the fun will begin. When the challenge is done, we’ll just start over.
Hope to see you around and take part in the challenges!
Nadim E.
